The Valencia Covenant for combating Male and Gender-based Violence as a model for social participation in public policies

This paper introduces an example of a best practice in the design of public policies through participation of citizens and social agents. This initiative was conducted by the Vice-Presidency and the Department for Equality and Inclusive Policies of the Government of Valencia through the drafting of the Valencia Covenant for combating Male and Gender-based Violence of the Valencia Region (2017).

The NIU programme: an experience in joint intervention between basic social services and the health services in Granollers

Gender-based violence and social work: An analysis of the discourse and approaches adopted by social work professionals when it comes to gender-based violence

The purpose of this article is to set out the results of a qualitative study on the discourse produced in the field of social work concerning gender-based violence. It is a study that aims to identify and reflect on the implications of discourse in the development of professional practice. The aim is thus to contribute to a reflection on theoretical foundations and
discourses, highlighting the reality of interventions by social workers in the province of Barcelona.

Perception and attitudes towards gender and gender-based violence among mexican university students of Social Work

This article sets out the results of a study the aim of which is to gain an acquaintance of how university students perceive gender and gender-based violence along with their attitudes to them in order to offer elements that will make it possible to produce re-signification processes with regard to social constructs which encourage asymmetrical relationships between men and women. To this end, a questionnaire was handed out to 100 students reading the degree in Social Work at UNAL (Mexico).

Violence in same-sex couples: difficulties in detection and intervention from the perspective of social work
